@Learn Game Sounds Menu
Very self explanitory. Use the up and down arrows to switch through sounds and their names, left arrow to return to the main menu.

Right Arrow: Advances Mario forward through the level.
Control: Utilizes Mario's fireball power if in firey Mario form.
Down Arrow: Makes Mario swim down in a water level.

+Playing In Depth
Just like the original game, super mario brothers(smb) is a platformer(or sidescroller). In this version, Mario moves one direction: right. There is no moving back, up or down accept in water levels.
@Locating Enemies, obsticles, And Items
In this game, you are notified of an enemy when it is 5 steps away. This usually means when you here the enemy, you should move 4 steps to get into jump or fireball range.
For more information about enemies, see the enemies.txt file.
The only "obsticles" in this game are the gaps between platforms. When you are at the edge of one, you will here bricks crumbling and you will then have to jump and move 5 spaces very quickly so as that you do not fall in.
@Items
There are 3 types of items in smb:
Magic Mushrooms: Changes small Mario to super Mario. Has no effect if Mario is already super or firey Mario.
Fireflower: Changes Mario into firey Mario allowing him to use fireballs. Has no effect on firey Mario.
One-Ups: An extra life; well guarded in many areas.

When you are 5 steps away from an item, you will here the vine growing sound; jump when directly below the item to grab it.
@Combat
As you have just read, you here an enemy when it is 5 steps away(only excluding a few). Generally, enemies won't actually attack you until 1-2 seconds after you here them. The most common enemies can be jumped on or shot with fireballs from 1 step away. Be careful, touching an enemy does damage! If you walk into some enemies, you can walk on over them, but some will follow you. It is most advisable to kill the enemy even if you are hit once.
For information on specific enemies, see the enemies.txt helpfile.
@Taking Damage
When hit by an enemy, the basic formula is:
Hit When Small: Death.
Hit When Super Mario: Turned into normal mario.
Hit When Firey Mario: Turned into Super Mario.
Note: You can tell what form of mario you are by your jump; super mario and firey mario jumps are the lower pitched jump sound.
@Water Levels
Water levels are slightly different than the standard level. One difference is that there is no jumping. Instead, there are two levels mario can swim on; the floor of the sea and up a bit in the water. You can switch between these two using the up and down arrow keys.
@Warp Zones
After world 1, level 2, you come to a warp zone. It is 2 spaces wide. If you jump in the first space, you go to level 3a, but if you jump in the other in firey mario form, you go to level 3b. You can move back and forth in the warp zone.
